Today, the actress and former cover girl is living with her family in Beverly Hills with her dogs Samantha and Olivia (above and left). Ann Turkel's former husband Richard Harris has passed away after just 8 years of marriage, and 20 years divorce. Turkel was born to an ethnically Jewish family, and was raised with her mom in Manhattan. When she reached 16 years old, she had studied under Sanford Meisner and Philip Burton Both at the Neighborhood Playhouse as well as in the American Musical and Dramatic Academy. Ann's appearance as a member of her band at fashion events was the moment Gloria Schiff, editor of Vogue Magazine, discovered Ann. Within a matter of a few days and a half, the editor-in-chief Diana Vreeland commissioned Ann to shoot the very first Vogue Cover together with photographer Richard Avedon. Ann went on to become one of the top models in America, appearing as a cover model for leading magazines such as Vogue Bazaar or Cosmopolitan. Ann began modeling in Europe as well as Japan in the fashion houses of Max Factor Revlon as well as Chanel following two years of success.
